This year for spring break I decided to go to Panama City Beach with all of my friends. We left on Friday after classes and all met in Kansas City then got ready for a long 16 hour drive! I was really excited about driving there because I knew we would pass through a bunch of cool states like Tennessee and Alabama. I almost had a nervous breakdown because it was my turn to drive at midnight and I ended up driving until 7 am. When we got to Alabama it was around 4 am and it started to down poor and I could not see 2 feet in front of me so I was seriously concerned that we weren’t going to make it to Panama alive. I have always been nervous about driving in the rain so we had to pull over at some crazy weird gas station. Finally we made it to Panama around noon and we were so thankful we were there. It was exhausting being in the car for that long. I was shocked that the weather wasn’t nice. Some days that we were there it was like mid 50’s. It was warmer in Kansas City one of the days. That didn’t stop us from going to the beach though. We had swimsuits on with sweatshirts over it. I can honestly say I would never go back to PCB because it’s a little too crazy for me but because I have the best of friends who constantly boost my spirits and make me have a great time it was an incredible experience.

About Daily Inspiration

My name is Alexandra Mortallaro but most people call me Alex. I'm from Kansas City, Missouri and I have the greatest family on earth. I'm a sophomore at the University of Northwest Missouri State University. The only organization I'm involved in currently is Phi Mu and I have absolutely loved every minute of it since I joined! My major is Political Science and my minor is Criminal Justice. I'm a firm believer in following your dreams and doing whatever you put your mind to. One of my dreams after finishing my undergrad is to score outrageously high on the LSAT and get accepted into a great law school somewhere in Los Angeles. After that my dreams are infinte and you'd laugh at me if you heard them! In my spare time, when i'm not hanging out with friends or family, you can usually find me on pinterest or twitter. My favorite topic to search on Pinterest is quotes because it can be extremely uplifting at times when you need it most which is why I chose to write my blog on Inspiration. I truly deem inspirational quotes one of the best ways to get yourself out of a "funk" and back into doing what you love. If I can make at least one person's day by doing something so simple as posting something inspirational then hey I must be doing something right!
